Cécile Landowski
Cécile Landowski was born in Paris in 1979, with brushes at the tip of the fingers. She enters the Met de Penninghen (ESAG) school in 1997 and comes out of it in 2002 with a diploma in Interior Architecture, then stays another two years to also graduate in Graphic Arts. In 2003, she receives the Jury Prize granted by children at the "Maison des Contes et Histoires."
An independent illustrator since 2004, she is already working for publishing ("Fables du chien" by Jean de La Fontaine at Editions du Capucin), for magazines (Elle, Version Femina, Mon jardin et ma maison), advertising (Casino, Imde), and for the Hermès group.
Cécile cavorts and has fun illustrating the most beautiful Andersen tales for an exhibition traveling around France in 2005 (at the Maison des Contes et des Histoires and various city Libraries). Her love for tales, poetry, music and stage design makes her lean towards illustrating set design books and, maybe one day, towards stage designing for the theatre and the opera "Let the dreams roam free"
