Luiza is a Brazilian illustrator based in Nantes. In her illustrations, Luiza invites the viewer to enter intriguing, calm and refreshing scenes, where nature flourishes alongside her exuberant visual poetry.
She first worked as an artistic director in advertising agencies. But very quickly, her childhood passion took over and she left the world of graphic design to become exclusively an illustrator.
In order to improve her technique, Luiza joined an art school in Nantes. Since 2013, she has been working on the French market as well as, more recently, on the international market.
She works on a wide variety of projects such as product design, game development, motion design videos, concert posters, visuals for general communication and decoration.
Luiza's style can be described as dreamlike, poetic, whimsical and surreal. There are touches of classic illustration from the 50s, mixed with modern techniques and subjects and a touch of his own imagination. According to her, "in my illustrations, you have to expect the unexpected". Luiza likes to give free rein to her imagination, to play with the scale of the elements, to transform the ordinary: in short, to create universes in complete freedom. "Why draw the reality that surrounds us when in the imagination everything is possible?". (Luiza).
